Isometric Gold neighbourhood

This is one of the moist basic and fundamental neighbourhoods used in lattice gas simulations.

It is based on a pattern of close-packed spheres, using the face-centre-cubic packing.

Each cell (which consists of a rhombic dodecahedron) is divided into twelve rhombus-based pyramids.

It has been named after the crystalline structure of gold - which forms a face-centre-cubic lattice.
